Launched as Hudson Deep, was registered in the name of Finance for Shipping Ltd, with managers as Jardine Matheson & Co Ltd. She was contracted for charter in February 1979 and was refitted on the Mersey for her RFA role. She entered service on 26 March 1982. In the mid-1980s she was purchased outright by the MoD and the leasing arrangement continued. Laid up at Portsmouth in 2007, two years earlier than expected. Scrapped Ghent, 2009.
