Ex Somersby, bought from Ropners in 1957 and originally freighted under old name, as RFA Somersby, including the destoring of Trincomalee Naval Base. Renamed Reliant in Sept 1958 after first stage conversion to Air Stores Issuing Ship and deployed Far East. Registered in British West Hartlepool. Scrapped Inverkeithing 1977.
