  •
Sir Geraint had an uneventful early career. She was at the Jubilee Review at Spithead on 28 June 1977, and two years later, on 21 June 1979, she was in collision with the German motor tanker Tarpenbek off the Isle of Wight, and Tarpenbek capsized. There were no injuries, but Sir Geraint's bow door was buckled . She also took part in the Falklands campaign, including Teal Inlet runs. A further mishap occurred in 1988, when, in September, she ran aground during exercises off Norway. She refloated and proceeded to Aalesund for inspection. She was taken out of service on 1 May 2003, and on 19 July 2004 was towed from Portsmouth to Southampton. In July 2005, she was sold to breakers in Pakistan, briefly bearing the name Sir G, and arrived at Gadani Beach on 22 October 2005 to be broken up.
